ABOUT US
Assistive Technology for Physical Impairments (ATPI) is a site catered for persons who wishes to empower themselves about devices that facilitates those with, but not limited to Physical Impairments.
Created by students (Ms. Christine Franklin, Ms. Myrtle George and Mrs. Candace Bacchus-Irvine) who are on the verge of completing their final 'stretch' of their undergraduate studies in Special Education at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, are among others, the 'Movers and Shakers' of inclusive education within the twin islands of the Caribbean.
They are committed to working in partnership with their peers as well as other educators and paraprofessionals regionally and internationally in transforming the perceptions and limitations that people with disabilities face on a daily basis. It is of paramount importance that such persons are given equal opportunities to fully participate in society, as well as to develop their innate abilities to become self-reliant and function at their maximum potential.
